Jewish Roots of Christian Liturgy and Their Current Presence in the Practice of Particular Catholic Communities

The aim of the thesis Jewish Roots of Christian Liturgy and Their Current Presence in the Practice of Particular Catholic Communities is to map the current state of research about Jewish roots of Christian liturgy using the available literature as the basis and show on the specific example of two Catholic communities (Community of The Beatitudes and The Saint James Vicariate for Hebrew Speaking Catholics) how they experience these Jewish roots and how it manifests in their liturgical practice. The work is divided into two steps: In the first part, current knowledge about Jewish sources from which the Christian liturgy drew and draws is summarized. The most important elements, types and forms of Jewish prayers are described, and then it is described which parts of the Christian liturgy are based on which types and forms of prayers. In the second part, the history of the establishment of the Beatitudes Community and the Hebrew Parish is described and their liturgical practice is analyzed with a focus on their motivations for emphasis of the Jewish roots, the development of this practice and its specifics, and their relation to the original historical basis points. Parishes in the Tábor region from the perspective of preparatory writings for the Theresian Cadastre

The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to process cultural and historical data from spiritual preparatory writings, located in the National Archives in Prague, in the files of the Theresian Cadastre for the Tábor region from the first quarter of the 18th century. The preparatory writings were meant to improve taxation and the creation of a new Teresian cadastre. Focus of the thesis is on examining the condition of the local parishes, their extent according to the number of parishioners, the condition of parish and branch churches or chapels and the distance of villages from the church. Attention is also paid to the relations between priests, parishioners and lords. Separate chapters concern parish schools, hospitals or fraternities and literary fraternities. The thesis is supplemented by the financial and economic side of parishes, including permanent and incidental salaries of clergy, the composition of the parish economy and the equipment of churches. Practice of the music component of liturgical life in the Prague Archdiocese

Practice of the music component of liturgical life in the Prague Archdiocese A probe into music liturgical practice in the selected parishes The aim of this paper is to make the preview to the current practice of liturgical music in the Prague Archdiocese. For this purpose, several parishes are selected according to certain criteria for a questionnaire survey. The theoretical part deals with the starting points for the definition of the notion of "liturgical music" and with the development of understanding of its function in the magisterial documents of the 20th century. It also assessess the real impact of these documents, especially those of the Vatican Council II., on the situation in the Czech Republic. The practical part is devoted to a questionnaire survey. First, the areas covered by the survey are set out. On this basis, questions are then formulated for the priests of the parishes. The results are processed and evaluated in comparison with the magisterial documents. The questionnaire is distributed in the form of an online survey, which allows easier filling out and evaluation.
The patronage of the Schwarzenberg family in the 18th century on the example of the parish of Němčice

This diploma thesis deals with patronage of the Schwarzenberg family in the 18th century over the parish of Němčice, which fell into the Netolice Manor, and tries to describe the patronage administration of the Schwarzenbergs in general. For basic explanation of its topic the thesis is prefaced by chapters about the patronage in general and the history of Němčice and of the local parish. Basic spheres of the patronage of the Schwarzenberg family over parishes in their manors (on the example of the parish of Němčice) are presented after that. This thesis studies the rights of patronage primarily with respect to the administration. It also deals with the symbolic manifest of the patron's authority and focuses on the analysis and interpretation of the most important types of documents of the patronage administration and communication of the patronage offices. Next chapters deal with founding of the parish of Němčice as an example of parish foundation and with its incomes. They also analyze granting of presentations, installations of the parish priests, involvement of the patronage officers in canonical visitations and with the pendency of the estates of the deceased parish priests. The addendum supplements the text of this thesis by an edition of the founding charter of the parish of Němčice, by a table of local parish priests and by reproductions of some sources.
Analysis of the final document Plenary Assembly of the Catholic Church

The thesis discusses the Plenary Assembly of the Czech Catholic Church, which took place in the years 2003 ? 2005 in Velehrad. The work consists of six chapters, an introduction and conclusion. The first charter focuses on the history of the synod assemblies and not only in the Czech Republic, but also in the world. The largem part is devoted II. Vatican, which significantly influenced the whole Christian world. The sekond and the third charter is devoted to the Plenary Assembly of himself with us. Capture congress here since its publication. Through the work of parliamentary circles, the Preparatory Commission, all contributions to the Assembly to important natepals and message from I. and II. session of this parlament. The fourth charter presents a few selected topics from the final document PS ? ?Life and mission?? In the fifth chapter, your can already find the final analysis of that document, together with the specifically selected conciliar documents and one, which took care of the Germanem Joint Synod of Bishops. The sixth charter already Rouge Post-Synodal development, including vision and plans of the Czech Catholic Church in the future.
